I'm an existing prey user attempting to install the new version on Debian. I could swear the older version had some proper instructions, but I'm getting nowhere with the current one. The Ubuntu .deb on your site is only 32-bit, so I am attempting to work with the zip, going only by the README.md, which seems a bit too generic.
Following are some things I tried...
- Firstly, prey-1.7.5/lib/conf/gui/linux says "Empty or outdated config file. Please run 'config activate' and retry."
- Guessing what command that means, "prey-1.7.5/bin/prey config activate" says I need to be prey user.
- So, try creating a prey account, and repeat previous step. This merely fails silently now, or at least exits with a 1.
I see README.md makes some mention of something call NPM regrading zip files, but doesn't actuall say it's required. What's the proper way to go here?
