I deleted the device from Prey and reinstalled Prey again. This time it is working. I have no idea what happened and am relieved that this has finally been resolved. Thanks for your help.

I ran the suggested command and received an 80.
Terminal returned “80” — below are the prey.log contents.
I have deleted my MacBook in the Prey Panel, uninstalled through Terminal, then reinstalled. It says “device seen less than a minute ago” but then “location unknown”. Thanks in advance!

It reports 80 for me. My device shows up in the control panel, but it hasn’t been seen for 5 days, despite the fact that it’s been on with a wifi connection every one of the last 5 days.
I am running OS X 10.14.3 and Prey does not startup when I restart my computer. Interestingly, I can get it to run if I open CleanMyMac X and enable the two Prey launch agents. Otherwise, it doesn’t connect.
I just ran the command in terminal and got the result 80.
I updated to Mojave two days ago and received a message from Prey this morning that my computer is not being tracked. I ran the command and got a result of 80. What shall I do now? Thanks.
I just updated to 10.14.4 and prey sends me a message that my macbook was not seen for two days.

Hello - updated to Mojave a few months back and my computer has been unable to connect since. My result after running the script is 80
id -g prey returns 80 for me too.
My Mac last contacted your servers two days ago.
Edit: /var/log/prey.log contains just one line:
/bin/sh: /usr/share/prey/prey.sh: No such file or directory
I’ll try reinstalling as per your comments to other users.
Edit 2:
$ sudo /usr/local/lib/prey/current/bin/prey config gui
Valid existing keys found. Proceeding anyway.

GUI says:

…but the web site is unable to get a location, and says my Mac’s location was last reported on 26 March 2019. I would have expected the location to have been recorded on last contact two days ago.
