Wrong, but same Location on all devices

  • Affected device (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone): Notebooks and Tablets
  • Operating system (Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS, Ubuntu, Fedora): Windwos 10
  • Part of Prey not working (Prey account, mobile app, a specific action or module, reports): Location tracking

Could you please describe the problem?

I have tested 3 or 4 devices and all of them are shown 100 km away, but all at the exact same, wrong, location. I have allready re-installed Prey and turned the Windows Location services off.

Hi @cornhead, are you connected to Wifi (only) or are you using ethernet? Please let me know,

Hi @Daniela

I have tested it with a Notebook connected via ethernet and a Tablet connected via WIFI. Both Devices showed the same Location in Prey.
