Since the update to 1.7.1 my device no longer shows location and will not generate a report when tested to see if switching to missing made a difference in addition this does not show when my device is awake aswel also does not could not download one of my files in case this could wake the service. This was working with 1.7.0
is this normal for this release???

No, this is not normal. Can you attach your C:\Windows\Prey\prey.log file to see what could be failing?

I’m having the same problem. Windows 10 64 bit. I just installed and get “Device Found” and “Unknown Location”. Log file says:
Connection error: Error: socket hang up
Later it says:

Still not working tried multiple re-installs - it works then after restarting the machine tells me it’s connected but can’t get location or reports when marked as “missing”
Having this issue also on 1.7.2 with Windows 10 for past few days
I have the same problem on my laptop, i have install the new v. 1.7.2 - 64 bits.
Have you a solution and how can refresh the location cache ?

Same issue. Recently updated with a fresh install of Prey. Hosted on Win 10 64 bit. What follows is my prey.log
